2025 was a year we will never forget.
A year in which our little girl suddenly stood in the spotlight
because her story needed to be told ✨
Lanah became the face of Serious Request 2025, in collaboration with NPO 3FM and Spieren voor Spieren.
Where I always tried to protect her from everything that is difficult,
she now symbolized something bigger than ourselves.
For strength.
For vulnerability.
For muscle diseases that too few people know about.
Maybe you saw her on TV.
Maybe you heard her name on the radio.
Maybe you scrolled past our story on social media.
For us, it was a mixed feeling.
Proud — because she is so brave.
And at the same time confrontational —
because her visibility stems from something I never wanted to give her.
But when her story is shared...it has to lead somewhere.
To understanding.
To research.
To hope.
To awareness. 🤍
